3 Challenges When Working From Home

Work from home

Working from home is not as easy at it seems

Working from home sounds like a dream but it’s not the easiest way of making a living. A friend recently told me that she never seemed to get anything done with her business because there were always too many other things to do. Every time she looked up there was another task; washing, ironing, shopping, fill the car up, housework, walking the dog.

It’s too easy to find distractions when you’re working from home.

Here are 3 tips for making ‘working from home’ productive and profitable:

1. Be disciplined – set 30 minute goals and stick to them.

2. Get rid of distractions – stay away from television and radio. Do household chores at set times and no other ( between 9 and 10 in the morning for example).

Social media restriction

Use social media less often

3. Have set times for checking emails and social media posts. About a month ago I started checking my emails and social media twice a day only; 1230 and 7 pm. All other times I leave them alone (it’s been hard). Amazing how much more productive work I’ve managed to fit in using this strategy.

Other challenges when working from home

How many more ways can you think of to reduce the time you waste and move your business on ?
